GENERAL
- Is a certificate of authenticity provided?
- All original artwork for sale by BlackRock Medium comes with a Valuation Letter and a Certificate of Authenticity from BlackRock Medium.
- Are all the works on BlackRock Medium available for purchase?
- Since we offer both originals and reproductions, it is possible that the original has been sold, but prints are still available. If the original work has been sold, this is indicated on the page. If you are unable to find another work that you love, do not hesitate to get in touch as we can suggest other similar works or discuss having a piece commissioned just for you.
- The work I wanted is no longer available - can I commission a similar work?
- ABSOLUTELY! All artists accept commissions please see commission page for details.
- Is framing available for all works?
- Yes. Sometimes the artist has already chosen a frame, and we can send you a photo. If the work is not framed, when you make a purchase, you can let us know that you want the work framed.
- Who is responsible for the cost of framing?
- If the artwork is already framed, then the frame is a part of the work and therefore already included in the price. When the work is unframed, BlackRock Medium offers framing at an additional cost and you will be charged a small premium for this along with the price of the artwork at the time of purchase.
- Do you offer recommendations and advice?
- Our role is to introduce you to an artist's works. We can offer you a personalized selection chosen especially for you. To receive this selection, you can contact us at Blackrockmedium.com and note "Personalized Selection" in the title field. We will get back to you within 48 hours to discuss your needs.
- I want to give original art as a present but I don't know what to choose. What can I do?
- Gifting artwork is a great idea, but it can be tricky to choose artwork for another person, even if you know them well. The safest option and the one we recommend is to give them a Gift Card (in the amount of your choice) from BlackRock. They can then choose a piece from any of the artists on our site.
BUYING FROM BLACKROCK MEDIUM
- What does the heart next to artworks do?
- This symbol allows you to mark the artworks you love while you're on the site, so you can find them all on one single page. To do this, click on the heart on the main menu. To save your favorites in one place, and see them on another device, we recommend creating an account.
- How can I check the size of the artwork?
- The dimensions of the work are specified on the individual artwork page. You can use the Augmented Reality tool offered here to actually see what the artwork will look like in your home or office locations.
- Is the image on the site an accurate representation of the artwork?
- Yes, the image is an accurate depiction of the artwork. We have taken great measures to use the best professional photography equipment available to render you an accurate representation of the artwork. HOWEVER due to the many differences in monitors and various CPU settings, what you see may not be exactly the same as what you get. Unfortunately, technology has not solved this problem yet. However, you can use the Augmented reality tool to get a close approximation of how the work will look in your space. If the artwork you ordered is not what you expected, we will work with you to ensure you are 100% satisfied!
- How do I buy art on BlackRock Medium?
- To buy an artwork, you have to click on the button "Acquire this artwork" which is found on all individual artwork pages. You will then be directed to your Cart. Once you have clicked 'Proceed', we will ask for your details to organize delivery, and then ask you to choose your method of payment (Credit card, Paypal, or call us for bank transfers). Once the payment has been processed, you will receive confirmation from our payment processor, Stripe. We will then notify you right away to confirm that your payment has been received.
- What are the accepted methods of payment?
- All credit and debit cards (Mastercard, Visa, American Express, etc.), Paypal, and bank transfer.
- What happens once the payment has been processed?
- Once the payment has been processed, the artwork is reserved for you! We will notify you to confirm this and delivery times (delivery takes approximately 5-14 days depending on your location).
- When will my credit card be charged?
- Your credit card will be charged when the work is shipped! When you make an online payment to BlackRock Medium, we receive pre-authorization from your bank or credit card company. Banks generally hold this money in your account until the final part of the payment process has been submitted, but rules vary. Check with your bank or credit card company to find out more.
- Can I cancel my order?
- Yes, you can cancel your contract at any time up to 14 days after the date of delivery. (See Return Policy) To do this, please e-mail at Blackrockmedium.com and note in the title “Cancelation” we are unable to accept cancellations by phone. You do not have to give any reason for cancellation. However, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future. If you cancel, you must return the goods within 14 days of cancellation, complete with the original packaging to BlackRock Medium at your own expense. You must ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage. You may properly examine the goods for 14 days as you would do had you visited my gallery space. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value. Once received we will refund all monies paid to us by you including any postage / carriage within 30 days, less any costs due under this contract.
- How are the artworks packaged?
- The works are packaged by the artist and follow a standardized packaging process. We confirm the packaging and condition of the work with the artist before shipping and take care to make sure the work is properly protected.
- How long does delivery take?
- After the payment has been processed, shipment takes 7 days on average, which leaves time for packaging, framing (if applicable) and shipping. This will vary depending on the artist's availability, potential framing of a work and the distance between the artist's studio and your home. We will notify you with updates during the entire process.
- Who takes care of the delivery?
- Depending on the destination and the size of the work, we use delivery companies such as USPS, FEDEX or UPS, or specialized art delivery companies.
- Which countries do you deliver to?
- ALL that are allowed under USA Law.
- How much does shipping cost?
- Shipping costs are included in the price, regardless of destination.
- Is the delivery of the artwork insured?
- Absolutely! BlackRock Medium organizes and insures the transport of the artwork. There are no hidden fees.
- If I buy several artworks, will they be delivered at the same time?
- All work is shipped by the artist or in the case of reproductions, by the printer, so delivery dates may be different. However, if you have an issue and need them to arrive in the same place at the same time, let us know and we will arrange delivery accordingly.
- Can I get artworks delivered to a different country or to a different person?
- We will deliver to the address you gave on your order. Generally, we set the delivery date with the person who will receive the work and whose name you gave. If it's a surprise or a present, let us know!
RETURNS
Our goal is to make sure that you have the best experience with BlackRock Medium and are 100% satisfied. However, we understand that things happen. Here are a few possibilities:
- I've changed my mind or I don't like the artwork anymore... What can I do?
- That’s a shame, but it has been known to happen. You have 14 days after delivery of the work to let us know you’d like a full money back refund or 14 days to let us know you would like to choose another artwork from BlackRock Medium. You will be refunded once the artwork has been returned to the artist.
- The artwork was damaged when it arrived. What should I do?
- Contact us as soon as you notice the damage! Send photos to show us the current state of the work and we will make a decision together. Depending on the extent of the damage, we can either repair the work, or you can return it and you will be refunded. BlackRock Medium covers the costs of repair and transport in case of damage during delivery.
- How does the refund work?
- You will be refunded after the returned work has been received by the artist.
